When will I get my maintenance loan?
If you are enquiring about when your maintenance loan will be paid into your bank account from the SLC (Student Loans Company).
Answer
If you have been successful in securing a maintenance loan you should have received a ‘Students Entitlement’ letter from SLC detailing how much you will get and when you should expect each payment. You should be able to access your entitlement letter on your online account with Student Finance by clicking the link here.
If you have transferred into Salford from another institute then we will need to request your funding to also be transferred to Salford. In order for us to request your Student Finance funding we will require you Student Support Number (this is a mixture of letters and numbers and typically appears in the following format: ABCD000001A); or your Customer Reference Number (This is 11 digits) along with your full name, including any middle name if this has been declared to Student Finance.
The maintenance loan will be paid directly to you in your own bank account, please check that these details are correct. Payments are made three times a year and are normally around the start of each term. Please remember that the University can only confirm your registration to Student Finance to release your maintenance payments once you have completed online registration.
