Q. Can prospective students use Careers & Employability?

Prospective students can use the Careers & Employability service website and will be able to access some of the online resources. Prospective students don’t usually have access to job vacancies or 1-2-1 appointments with a careers consultant.

There are lots of useful resources on our ‚ÄčA-Z of Courses. Each course has an Employability section with details such as career prospects, placement opportunities and links with industry.

The University does have Open Days where potential students can find out more about course options. Details of Open Days can be found here.

They may also find the job profiles available at http://www.prospects.ac.uk/job-profiles useful as these cover hundreds of job roles, the routes into them and what qualifications are relevant to them. There is also a What can I do with my degree section if potential students are looking to explore what careers specific degrees could lead into.

The askUS website also offers details of other support whilst at University such as money matters and funding - http://www.askus.salford.ac.uk.
