I have received a capped mark.  Can I appeal against this?

Answer

If you are required to resit an assessment or retake a module, your assessment or module mark will be capped. The Board of Examiners which met after your first assessment attempt will determine that your assessment mark at next attempt will be capped. The Board of Examiners which met after your reassessment (second) attempt will determine that your module mark at next attempt will be capped.  If this is the case, you will only be able to appeal within 14 days following publication of when the exam board made the decision to cap either your assessment or module mark,  not when you receive your capped mark.
