Answer

ACCESS TO BUILDINGS & ROUTES AROUND CAMPUS

We have worked closely with AccessAble to assess the accessibility of our campus and facilities. You can read more about this work here.

Currently, there are some temporary changes to routes around campus and entrances to buildings, due to major building works. This construction is taking place to improve the campus. Alternative routes and entrances are signposted and should be accessible.

If you find barriers to your access, either temporary or permanent, please contact Estates & Property Services on 0161 295 4444 (estates-supportteam@salford.ac.uk), or Disability & Learner Support on 0161 295 0023 (option 1 then option 2) or email disability@salford.ac.uk.

AcessAble

In addition to the information on AccessAble’s website, you can now find your way around our whole campus with our new free app, AccessAble Salford Uni.

Developed by Estates and Property Services in partnership with AccessAble (the leading provider of access information for disabled people in the UK), this app includes detailed accessibility information about lecture halls, cafes and bars, toilets and halls of residence.

ACCESSIBLE CAR PARKING

We have accessible car parking spaces across campus. Blue badge holders can park for free. To obtain a parking permit, please take your blue badge to Reception in Maxwell Building. For information about locations and use, please contact our Estates office on 0161 295 4444 / estates-supportteam@salford.ac.uk.

DEAF ALERTER

All university buildings are equipped with a Deaf Alerter radio-based fire alarm warning and public address messaging system.

SALFORD CRESCENT TRAIN STATION

Salford Crescent train station is on campus, but is not part of the university. Access is by steps or lift.
