The Student Union and the university encourages active participation in activities, groups and societies, as they can form an integral part of your time here at Salford. It is a great opportunity to gain new experiences and friendships, however there may be some restrictions on what societies you can join, due to legal and safety requirements. If there is a particular activity, group or society that you wish to join, then it is recommended to contact the activity/group organiser and the universities Under 18 adviser. There are fact sheets for international students and home students that are under 18 and a FAQ page – which could easily be turned into FAQ or just put up as they are. I haven’t done this fully yet as Jane has very recently written a few processes around this area so it may need to be updated to reflect this… and thus also any FAQ for Under 18’s J
