What is the Doctorate Extension Scheme (DES) and how do I apply for this?

Answer

The Doctorate Extension Scheme (DES) allows the University to sponsor its brightest and best PhD students to remain in the UK for a year after they graduate. There are certain requirements which include:

·         You must not have completed and been awarded; and

·         You do not submit your visa application any earlier than 60 days before you complete your PhD

For specific details, you must refer to the website:

Our website should be the first point of call so that you can review full details of the University of Salford’s DES requirements and application process.
