How do I apply for a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) number?
Answer
If your current programme's end date has altered and you wish to extend your visa you will require a new CAS number. Students can apply for a CAS by visiting our website here: http://www.askus.salford.ac.uk/page/applying-for-your-cas.
Please note that if your visa expires at the end of January, May or September, this is a peak time for CAS and it is therefore advisable for you to apply for your CAS number as soon as possible.
If you are a new student or are beginning a new course of study you can find out more information via Salford-CAS@salford.ac.uk.
*new students are classed as students who are due to start a new course of study. This is regardless of any previous study with us. An example of this would be where a student has completed a Pre-Sessional English Programme or International Foundation Year and is due to progress onto their main course of study. Under these circumstances they would be classed as a new student for the purposes of a CAS.
