What is the difference between a Standard Visitor Visa and a Short Term Study Visa?
What is a Short Term Study Visa?
Answer
A Standard Visitor Visa allows someone from outside the UK and Ireland the ability to study in the UK for up to a maximum of six months. This would usually be for those students attending the University of Salford for one trimester; attending campus as part of a split-site visit; and those students who need to return to the UK to undertake a reassessment or resubmission.
A Short-term Study Visa is one that can only be used by full or part-time students who will study English as a foreign language for between 6 and 11 months only.
