Duty Disability Adviser Process
During semester 3, all enquiries from students with a Reasonable Adjustments Plan/Student Support Plan should be directed to the askUS desk or the Disability & Learner Support General Advisers, whether by telephone (0161 295 0023, choosing Option 1 and then Option2), email (email@example.com) or face to face at University House.
Where the query can be answered by our askUS desk staff, you will not require an appointment.
Where the query cannot be answered by askUS desk staff or a General Adviser (GA) in the Disability & Learner Support service, the GA will ascertain the nature of the query and the timeframe for the response. If there is a suitable available appointment, this will be booked for you. Where a more immediate response is required, the query will be passed to the Duty Disability Adviser.
The Duty Disability Adviser will find out more information and, if appropriate, deal with it by phone or email. When an appointment is necessary, the Disability Adviser will decide whether to see you on the day or to schedule a later appointment. Where a Duty Adviser is not available the enquiry must be picked up by an alternative Disability Adviser.
