Most e-Books from EBSCO can be downloaded for off line use.  You will see a Download option on the left if this is the case.  If you cannot see the Download option, then this facility is not available for the particular e-Book you are looking at.

When you click on the Download link, you will be asked to login to your MyEBSCO account.  If you do not have a MyEBSCO account, you can create one using the on screen instructions.

Once you are signed into MyESBCO, you will be able to download a file.  This will be a .acsm file

To open this file, you will need :

  • On a PC or laptop, to have installed Adobe Digital Editions.
  • On an Android or iOS device a compatible reader, such as the the Adobe Digital Editions app or the Bluefire Reader app available from the App Store or Google Play, is required.
  • On a Windows RT / Microsoft Surface, install the DL Reader app.
  • To use any of these services you will need to create and Adobe ID and enter it when instructed.

Please note that you cannot download eBooks frm EBSCO to read offline whilst on a Library or campus student PC - the necessary software is not available on these machines, and you should continue to use the PDF Full Text option to view the book online.
