In the search results page of Library Search, when using either the ‘Everything’ or ‘Articles & more’ option, there is an option on the top right hand side of the results called ‘Expand beyond library collections’.
Selecting this option will include results related to your search terms to which the university may not provide full access. This may be useful if you are conducting more in-depth or comprehensive research around a particular subject area.
Here’s an example of a results page when ‘Expand beyond library collections’ is selected, showing items to which full text access isn’t available, indicated by the description 'No Full Text.' Clicking on the title will show if we have print holdings of the resource.
Any items you find using the ‘Expand beyond library collections’ function to which we don’t have full text access can be accessed through the Need Something... service.
