If you have received an email to say that the item you've requested is ready for you to collect but you can't find it on the request shelf, firstly check the email to confirm which library you have requested to collect it from.
Remember, if Library Search shows there are copies of a book on the shelf at a particular library, then you can only request to pick it up from a different library site. For example, a book with 2 copies on the shelf at Clifford Whitworth can only be requested for collection from Media City. Books can only be requested from their home library if all copies are on loan.
If you have selected a different library for collection for this reason without realising, then you will be expected to pick up the item from the library it has been sent to.
Books are organised on the request shelf alphabetically by network username. If you cannot locate your requested item on the request shelf, please ask a member of staff at the Support Desk for assistance.
Please note - Items requested using the Document Delivery service are NOT kept on the Request shelf and must to be collected from the Support Desk.
