Fines are only incurred in two situations:
- Your item has been requested by another student and it was not returned on its due date, or
- Your item was a Document Delivery request that was not returned on its due date
- Fines are charged at a rate of 50p per overdue item per day
- If an item is very overdue you will receive an invoice for the replacement cost of the item
As a courtesy service, reminders are sent to your University email account at regular intervals, and you will be notified if an item has been requested, however it is your responsibility to ensure that items are returned on time.
You can access your Library account at any time to check when items are due for return, and if you have incurred any fines or charges.
