You can find a book on the shelf once you have found its class number on Library Search and by then finding the correct shelf in the sequence corresponding with that class number. The shelves begin at 000 and work up numerically. There are signs on the end of the shelves indicating the range held in that particular aisle.
So, for example, if you are looking for an item with a class number of 153.44ALT, you would look in the aisle where this number falls. If there were an aisle with a sign showing 150-155, then the book would be found on a shelf in that particular aisle.
When looking for books on the shelf, please make sure you have made a note of the entire class number from Library Search, including any letters at the end of the number sequence.
You can also use the Locate button in Library Search, which will show you a plan of the Library and show you which shelf the item is on.
