Your network username and password is what you'll need to log into:
- any University-networked PC, such as those in the library and other PC suites
- the wi-fi network
- Blackboard, to access learning materials for your course and submit your assignments
- Online books, journal articles and databases provided by the library
- Advantage, to search for job vacancies and to book onto events
Your network username is 3 letters followed by 3 numbers, e.g. ABC123. If you are a new student at the university, then you should have been sent an email containing your network username and password when you accepted your offer of a place with us, which told you how to register. Your network username and password can be found in the bottom right of this email.
If you know your username, but not the password, you can reset your password at the following link: https://identity.salford.ac.uk/StudentPasswordSelfService
If you do not know your username, then you can ask for this information at any Library enquiry desk, as long as you have your University ID card. If you are unable to come into the University, then you can also request this information by telephoning the ITS Service Desk on 0161 295 2444.
More information about your network account can be found on the IT Services webpages: www.its.salford.ac.uk/students/
