If you have received an invoice for a lost book which you later return, then you will not have to pay the charge provided that the item has not been added to our purchasing procedure. Once an item has gone fourteen weeks overdue it will be discharged from your account, withdrawn from stock and added to our purchasing procedure and at this point any charges against it will be payable regardless of whether you return the item or not.
Similarly, if you pay the replacement charge of an item it will then be added to our purchasing procedure. Invoice payments are therefore non-refundable.
