USIR is the University of Salford's Institutional Repository. It is a digital store, containing research outputs produced by University of Salford staff and postgraduate researchers, including theses, journal articles, book chapters and conference proceedings.

Many of the research outputs stored in USIR are freely available to download, although some are not. Providing open access, wherever possible, to research by members of Salford University maximises its visibility and accessibility, and helps to realise its potential in making significant academic, economic, social and cultural impacts.

More detailed information about USIR can be found here: http://www.salford.ac.uk/library/research/openaccess/repository.
