Q. What’s an acceptable percentage for an originality report in Turnitin?
The percentage in your originality report is the percentage of your text that has been matched to other sources. There is no specific score to aim for, as a high originality score does not automatically mean that you have plagiarised and a low originality score does not mean that there is no plagiarism. A long quotation in a document, for example, may increase your originality score even if it has been properly referenced.
The important thing to check from your originality score is not the percentage score itself, but that all text identified has been properly referenced.
