Q. What computing help is available to me?


The IT department have a drop-in service at the Clifford Whitworth Library, which runs Monday to Friday between the hours of 12-2. The service is to provide help and guidance to staff and students who may have issues with their own device or IT services offered by the University.

They can offer students and staff the following:

  • Assistance with software set-up, troubleshooting  and general advice
  • Virus and malware removal
  • Connecting equipment to the University network,  including wi-fi
  • Mobile device set-up
  • General hardware advice
  • Printing issues
  • General advice

If you are looking for help with Microsoft Office applications, our workbooks combine learning material with accompanying task-based practical exercises, so that you can learn at your own pace and practice your new skills using the sample exercise files.
