How do I submit my thesis?

How do I submit my thesis?

Answer

This information is taken for the Doctorial School HUB: FAQs.

Prior to your Viva Voce examination you will need to submit an electronic version (pdf) of your PhD thesis to SA-PGR@salford.ac.uk and CC the PGR Support mailbox for your school

You should also complete a Declaration of Originality form when you submit your pdf version. The form will be sent to you by the Doctoral School.

It is your responsibility to ensure your thesis is your own original work. You are strongly encouraged to consider using ‘Turnitin’ (the University’s text matching software), by adding your report to the Draft Submission Area on the SPoRT Blackboard Module. Your examiners will also carry out a formal Turnitin check on recipt of your thesis.

--------------

All candidates are required to deposit an electronic copy of their final thesis in the University of Salford’s Institutional Repository (USIR). Making research theses openly accessible through USIR aims to make them more discoverable and easier to access. The new system will therefore allow researchers to disseminate their scholarly work to a wider audience to the benefit of the University and themselves, as well as the wider research community.

By having a digital version openly accessible online, and readily searchable through Google and other search engines, the visibility of a researcher is greatly enhanced. Your final thesis must be deposited in the University of Salford Institutional Repository (USIR), which is hosted on the WorktribeTM platform. Find out about WorktribeTM and how to upload your thesis here.
