What documents do students need for their ‘Right to Study’ check at International Check-In?
Answer
In order to register at the University, students registering on to full-time courses will need to book an International Check-In appointment. During this appointment, the student will need to provide:
-
Their immigration permission (e.g. a student visa);
-
Their passport
-
A copy of their visa application documents (which, if they are inside the UK, must show that they made the application on-time);
-
The date on which they will come to the UK (relevant for residency code 5 split-site students only).
Students who have not yet received an unconditional offer, or have not yet received their CAS number (if required), are unable to complete their Right to Study check or register at the University.
If a student does not believe they hold any of the above documents, yet they hold an unconditional offer from the University and do not require a CAS number, they should contact the Home Office Compliance Team.
