How do students collect their BRP (Biometric Residence Permit)?

Students should receive a ‘decision letter’ when they receive their entry clearance vignette (sticker) from the Home Office – this letter details where the student needs to collect their BRP from. Whilst the letter states a timeframe to collect their visa within, students should not be concerned about collecting this as long as they have collected it before their entry clearance visa expires.
The University is not currently operating as an alternative collection location (ACL) and students should not be electing to collect their visa from the University. If a student’s decision letter states ‘The University of Salford’ as the collection point for their BRP, please email the Home Office Compliance Team (homeofficecompliance@salford.ac.uk) so we can advise accordingly.
